FAQ

Q:.Are there any costs for the recruitment process?

A:No. There are no costs at all for the recruitment process, the service we offer is completely free of charge for teachers, we will never charge you anything, ever!

Q:I could not speak any Chinese,is that a problem?

A:You can teach English in China without knowing how to speak Chinese. Students expect to get immersed in English during class and so speaking Chinese is actually discouraged in class. Often there is the option of having a Chinese teaching assistant to help with giving instructions and translating if needed, especially for young learner classes.
Some schools provide Mandarin Chinese lessons and plenty of support for new arrivals. It is relatively easy to set up extra Chinese lessons and there are a plenty of resources available for self study, if you wish to.

Q:I don’t have a teaching background, can I still apply?

A:Yes. Previous teaching experience is not necessary, but is valued if you have it. We will help you get all the skills you need to make you feel confident standing in a classroom. As long as you have a bachelor’s degree in any subject we can help you with the rest.

Q:I have more questions, what should I do?

A:Don’t worry, everybody has questions it’s understandable. The best thing to do is apply so that we have all your details and can make sure you meet the visa requirements. Once we know that, one of our recruiters will contact you for an initial chat before moving to interview. This is the best time to ask those initial questions, others can be asked at interview.
